Our Staff

David M. Cunic, PT

David M. Cunic is the owner and manager of DMC Athletics and Rehabilitation. He is a graduate of the Delbarton School as well as received both his Bachelor's of Health Science and Master's of Physical Therapy from the University of New England. David also is a certified personal trainer, a licensed referee for the United States Soccer Federation as well as a member of numerous physical therapy and community service organizations. David has proceeded to work at inpatient facilities as well as several outpatient orthopedic clinics.

Over the course of his career, David has had the honor to work with prestigious doctors from numerous professional and Olympic sport teams which has led to him being highly trained in sports medicine, orthopedics, and manual therapy. He is continually refining his knowledge and manual skills through workshops and continuing education seminars. David's hard work and dedication in the field of physical therapy enabled him to become a manager of several orthopedic clinics. Although, what makes David truly unique is his ability to relate to his patients, secondary to himself receiving intensive physical therapy for almost four years.

Through education, clinic, and personal experience, David has designed his own philosophy of complete therapy. He has taken techniques which integrates the personal training and physical therapy regimen, in order to achieve a complete therapy where “you get the best of both worlds”.

Nicholas Curry Nicholas P. Curry, PTA, CSCS

Nicholas Curry is a Physical Therapist Assistant and Personal Training Manager at DMC Athletics and Rehabilitation's Cedar Knolls facility. A graduate of LaGuardia Community College with an Associated Applied Science degree, he brings 15+ years of clinical management and therapeutic experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.

As a competitive weightlifter for over 35 years, plus 25 years of weight lifting/personal training, Nick brings knowledge of both rehabilitation and personal training protocols and science combined into goal oriented programs. These skills provide him the knowledge and experience to transition rehabilitation patients back to prior levels of function and beyond.

Nick's active involvement in the community and beyond has privileged him to being the Weightlifting and Strength and Conditioning coach at Farleigh Dickinson University, Florham Park, NJ; personal weightlifting coach to medalists at the USA National Weightlifting Championships; Coach of 2nd ranked USA Men's Weightlifting Team and trainer to local Elite level athletes.

All components involved make Nick a great part of DMC Athletics and Rehabilitation's team.

ADan Carroll Daniel Carroll, PT

Dan Carroll is the facility coordinator and resident physical therapist at DMC Athletics and Rehabilitation's Morristown facility. He comes to DMC highly regarded because of his expertise in manual based therapy.

Dan brings a recognized specialty to DMC with his being Fellowship trained in orthopedic manual physical therapy; a credential that he is 9 of 8200 New Jersey based physical therapists to possess. This specialized training allows for highly skilled and specific bio mechanical / postural assessments and treatments. In order for Dan to remain current and actively involved with the community, he teaches, at the university level, manual therapy exam and treatment techniques to physical therapists and students.

Dan's expertise and specialized techniques are a welcomed addition to the DMC Athletics and Rehabilitation team.

Laura Iden Laura Iden, PT, DPT, MS, ATC

Laura Iden is the resident physical therapist at DMC Athletics and Rehabilitations Randolph facility (located on the 2nd floor of the Aspen Ice Arena). She received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Brown University and her Master's in Athletic training, with specialization in sport specific physical therapy and rehabilitation from Seton Hall University. She has also received a clinical doctorate in physical therapy and brings with her 4 years experience in outpatient orthopedic facilities.

Laura has such accolades as being a former high school All American soccer player and Brown University woman's soccer player (4yrs) / captain (sr. yr). During her understudies, she has had numerous affiliations with local area high schools and division I and lll colleges. While working for her clinical doctorate, Laura was affiliated with the University of Georgia division l football team and various pro athletes. Laura remains active through the community by continuing to play competitive soccer with area soccer clubs, as well as offer volunteer athletic training services to local school and community sporting events.

Laura's mix of manual therapeutic techniques and athletic training experiences are a perfect fit and great addition to the DMC Athletics and Rehabilitation team.

PJ Scriffignano PJ Scriffignano, Trainer

PJ Scriffignano is an ISSA and AMFPT certified Personal Trainer at DMC Athletics and Rehabilitation's Randolph and Cedar Knolls facilities. He is also the head on/off ice conditioning specialist at DMC's Randolph location.

PJ brings with him a highly extensive background in the training/conditioning disciplines of on/off ice hockey and lacrosse. A former Morristown high school and Wagner College ice hockey standout, he exemplifies his place among the sport through his continued dedication and willingness to educate and help others learn proper on and off ice conditioning. His application of training techniques are not only beneficial to the athlete, but to anyone willing to give a little extra to gain much more.

A lifelong resident of Morris County, PJ continues to stay actively involved in the community as current participant with numerous local organizational adult and travel hockey clubs, facilitator for local area clinics and camps and is also a coach with the NJ Devils Youth Organization.

PJ's expertise and specialized concentrations make him one of a kind and a welcomed part to the DMC Athletics and Rehabilitation team.

Andrew Nix Andrew Nix, Trainer

Andrew Nix is a personal trainer with DMC Athletics and Rehabilitation's Randolph facility (located on the 2nd floor of the Aspen Ice Arena) and comes with specialized strengths in mixed martial arts, wrestling and strength training.

Andrew blends a youthful exuberance and a wealth of athletic experience to bring about the latest techniques for strength gains, weight loss, and cardiovascular conditioning. With experiences in training youth and varsity athletes, extreme passion for power lifting, boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai and special interest in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, he brings to DMC, a well roundedness to the training circuit.

Andrew's dedication to what he does has allowed him the opportunity to become a Renzo Gracie blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and trains under world super middle weight kickboxing champion Shihan Reginald C. Good. In the 8 years he has helped people get in shape, Andrew has created programs to implement strength training with endurance, explosion and quickness.

Andrew not only focuses on strength training but also on flexibility and balance to keep the body injury free, which makes him a fitting acquisition for the DMC Athletics and Rehabilitation team.
